Our aim with this sample pack was to provide simple, yet effective tool for producers and composers who need an epic female vocals right out-the-box with Middle Eastern/exotic feel. We made these samples to be effective when creating ambient soundtracks for video games, films and movies, documentary films including more epic and aggressive productions like trailer music, EDM, electronic, etc. We were aiming to create phrases that are same in intensity and generally longer in length.
The pack (and instrument) is very simple and straight forward and it's phrase-based only. On the front interface you'll find a simple 3 knobs (Reverb, Delay and Chorus) which can be controlled/assigned with CC (CC#11 Expression for controlling the Reverb by default). Although we don't recomend the Kontakt reverb fully, it still can be quite effective if in need of a fast solution or on a deadline. The Volume is controlled by CC#1 Modulation and is by default put on the lowest level.
The instrument is featuring two keyswitches, both of them full of various phrases recorded on the root tone C and around 60 bpm. In order to use this pack effectively, we would suggest making the background deviate around tone C as the samples are improvised around the (Westernized) Arabic scale (C-C#-E-F-G-G#/A-A#/B-C).
Depending on your preference of workflow, with the download you'll find three main folders: Kontakt Instrument, MP3 and WAV (where MP3 and WAV are the same samples as the ones in the Kontakt Instrument).
We recorded all content in 44.1kHz/16bit.
