We're presenting you the newest addition to our virtual instruments category - Middle Eastern Doumbek I!
We aimed to make this instrument as light and as effective as possible with only 36Mb of RAM load and 478 samples in total to give you as natural feel as possible when playing. There are two available types of playing, full hits with more bass in sound and a towards-the-rim hits to give you that instant Middle Eastern flavor. Both types of hits were recorded with 127 levels of samples each with around 127 levels of additional 1x Round Robin samples per hit to avoid the machinegun effect and to give you full satisfaction when playing. To ease the playing of rolls and rhythmic figures, we copied these samples one octave up where C is always the bass hit and D (in right hand) and B (in left hand) is the high hit so that you can play intuitively with thumbs as a bass and pointer fingers as high hits.
All of the samples were recorded with our grade-A equipment, from microphone, preamp and converter in 44.1 kHz/16-bit resolution. The Kontakt Instrument is featuring a standard set of controls: Volume CC1, Reverb CC11 and Delay CC2.
With this release, we're also starting our newest - Basic Series - which will be around making light yet effective Kontakt Instruments with even more affordable pricing!
